Thermoforming

Custom thermoforming is a specialty at Cornerstone that will satisfy your packaging needs.

We excel at designing projects in Solidworks then machine prototypes in a composite material.

Once the prototype sample has been approved we can design and build aluminum tooling for production.

3-D Design

Once we have the components that you need packaged we can start the design process.

Using the latest version of Solidworks Cornerstone will create a 3-D file for your review.

The 3-D file can be e-mailed via e-drawings so the design can be reviewed before machining.

Changes to the 3-D drawing are more cost effective than changing a prototype that has already been cut.

Prototypes

Prototypes can be cut in different materials depending on the quality/clarity needed.

From the final 3-D file a CNC machined prototype will be cut.

Cornerstone will then form sample(s) for approval.

Aluminum Tooling

CNC machined aluminum tools are built to design specifications.

Male or female tools are CNC machined, back drilled, tracked, evacuated and polished to suit our customers' specific needs.

Cast aluminum tools are an option for more sophisticated geometry.

Assists

Plug, Grid and multi level assists can be designed and CNC machined where applicable.

Assist materials include epoxy, Hytac Foam, B1X and B material.

Heat Sealing

Cornerstone is fully knowledgeable in regard to all phases of heat seal tooling.
